Version 7.2 of the Above and Below script is out to the actors. It's taken some time but I think having a really tight script is going to make this project special. A meeting is schedule for tomorrow (Sunday)with everyone involved. A green / blue screen room has been made available for us to work in which is going to be really cool. I can finally live out my George Lucas Start Wars fantasy. Yahoo!

Some last decisions still need to made about locations and lighting but everything seems to be coming together nicely. This is going to be a lot of work but also great experience. More information about the cast should be coming shortly. Stay tuned!

In the last few days we've met with some actors and had some discussions about the characters. Some tweaking is continuing to happen to the script to get everything to gel. We will be having our first meeting with everyone involved sometime this weekend. It will be a chance for everyone to meet each other, to discuss the project and run through the script. It should be fun.

It's taken a little longer than I thought, but the shooting script for Above and Below is complete. The number of characters has been reduced from 5 to 4 to streamline the story and some other changes have been made to make it more interesting. The overall structure and setup has remained the same, however. The expected length of the short is 17 minutes. That's only about 80 minutes short of being a feature film!

The next item on our agenda will be to meet with the actors and have a few readings of the script and talk about the characters. We will probably do this on camera to get everyone feeling comfortable. Some good news for us is that all of our actors have had some acting or performing experience so I imagine we will quickly get into the groove of filming. I should have some more information about the actors up on the website pretty soon.

Other things that need to be done in the weeks to come include finalizing the locations, preparing story boards, camera and microphone tests and lots of other fun stuff.

Lights, camera aaannnddd ACTION!
